Se rechazó la solicitud de aclaración de la Sentencia C-1096/01 formulada por el ciudadano de la referencia, toda vez que ninguna norma de la Constitución Política que reglamenta la jurisdicción constitucional, confiere a la Corte la facultad de aclarar sus sentencias.
Según lo expuesto, la Corte Constitucional no tiene competencia para proferir nuevas decisiones sobre asuntos ya fallados ni para adicionar las sentencias ya dictadas, así como tampoco para aclarar sus fallos, los cuales son de obligatorio cumplimiento.
